Network Query

With the advent of number portability, it's becoming increasingly difficult to reliably identify what network a mobile phone number belongs to. Combine this with the increasing amount of people who regularly upgrade their phone and leave their old phone and SIM card (along with their number) gathering dust in a drawer, how can you be sure your text message will get there?

Utilising realtime access to the deep level SS7 mobile infrastructure, the Jimati Network Query service (sometimes referred to in the mobile industry as an 'HLR lookup' or 'IMSI lookup' service) allows you to check, in realtime, whether a mobile number is active, and which network it currently belongs to.

When you submit a MSISDN (mobile number) to the Jimati Network Query service we check whether the mobile number is live, and if so can return the IMSI, operator name and country, plus the MCC/MNC (mobile country code/mobile network code) combination.

Covering over 300 networks worldwide, this service can help mobile marketers identify and eliminate 'dead' numbers, SMS aggregators and resellers optimize their SMS routing, and avoids the cost and waste of having messages returned because the number has been ported, or is no longer in use.

How much does it cost?

Our standard network query service offers a flat-rate tariff with a single price for any network (subject to coverage), no monthly commitment, no expiry  of credits and a minimum prepayment of just £50. Each query costs 1p.

For high volume customers, with a minimum prepayment commitment of £500 per month, we offer one of the lowest industry costs for network query at just 0.6p per lookup.
